We bought this to replace an old & dim porch ceiling light. This one was easy to install, looks great, & goes on automatically when motion is detected. We like the brighter light! And it’s LED light so is more energy-efficient as well.

LED light with motion sensor
The design is modern and very slick, the body is super slim and beautiful!Easy to install which I did outside the front door, but the entrance is covered with arch.The motion sensor works perfectly at dark, but make sure and put the switch on a night mode with 180 seconds of active light, before installing if you would like to take advantage of the night mode. The spot that you desire to install in a night mode should be completely dark, if the sensor detects even the tiniest light source, it wouldnât activate the light.Never tested it in a day mode, so I donât know if it works fine in that mode.

Takes a Licking and Keeps on Ticking
I dropped one of these three times from the top of the stepladder and it still worked when installed. Amazing! This should have earned these a five star rating but read on. I did eventually learn from my mistakes and did not drop the next two I installed.Equally amazing is these have been up about three weeks and the cone for motion activation continues to get smaller for each of these. The radius from a nine foot ceiling is now about three feet, down from the five to six feet they started with. Still effective but if it continues to shrink I will have to revise my rating.The brightness selector works as it should. I went with the 5,000 level as I installed these primarily for security on my lanai and the entryway. For interior use, 4,000 would be plenty bright. I also selected the three minute on option and this works well for the intended use. The two lanai lights are set for night only and the entryway light is set for day and night. Both options work as they should. The night only option requires totally dark, not just dusk so if you these to work in dim light use the day/night option.Installation was easy on the third light because I learned from my errors on the first two. If you are a rookie like me doing this, watch some Youtube videos. The wire connectors furnished with these should be thrown away. Use some good quality nuts and the install will be easier and more secure.

Works good
Replaced my outdoor entry way recessed light with this one. Covers the recessed hole perfectly. Senses motion right away and stays off during the day. Great for coming home late at night and fumbling with the keys. Also keeps kids who ring the doorbell at night and run cause this startles them before they get even close to the doorbell and the camera gets a good picture of them in the light.

Perfect for a small closet
We are modifying a small bedroom closet to enlarge the opening for better access. We decided to add a ceiling light, and this was great because we didn’t need to wire a wall switch since it has a motion detector. The additional benefit is that you don’t have to remind your child to turn OFF the closet light when you are not using it!I was able to fish a wire from an outlet in the adjoining bedroom to a new “old work” box that I installed in this closet’s ceiling. The included mounting bar attaches to the “old work” box, making it very easy to mount the light to the ceiling. We are using the “4000K” color temperature setting.The motion sensor works great as long as you are standing up; if you are down on the floor and not moving much (as I was when installing some base trim), the light will time out (we have ours set for just 30 seconds), and you may need to wave your arms to get it to come back on. I doubt if this is going to be an issue once it is in normal, everyday use.

Works beautifully
Unlike a few of the other Reviews these work perfectly. I installed 4 of them: Pantry closet, Laundry closet, + 2 Master Bedrom walk-in closets. As with any light fixture, you have to turn off the power, thus, you’ll need another light source especially if working inside a dark closet like I did. It’s not rocket science installing, but expect 30+ min for each. The only ‘issue’ — not really a complaint — is that I had to drill out a hole in the metal cross bracket to install a screw to attach the ground wire. I knew this by reading other reviews. Not a deal-breaker, although it would be smart for Youtob to have that already in the bracket. Otherwise, a very nice bright light that is sensitive to “motion” every time we open the door.

Great light. Settings hard to understand
Used this as a replacement porch light. Works perfectly but it took several attempts to get settings right (dawn to dusk, light warmth, etc.)

We installed this motion sensor light on our porch ceiling, connected to the same circuit as our Ring driveway camera. It only activates when someone comes to the door, which is perfect. The light is very bright, and the motion sensor works flawlessly. A fantastic addition to our home!

Very easy to install and works well. Motion detection radius is not too large and works perfect in my application. Light is brighter than anticipated for the size but I am extremely pleased with this purchase and will likely buy more! Mine is located in the front lobby to illuminate the front door before you reach the light switch and while entering it will capture the motion of the door swinging open. Again, perfect for my application.

This low profile light looks good and is very easy to install. It has barely adequate brightness for our laundry room. I would be willing to pay more if it was brighter or, better yet, if it had a selectable brightness.
