A great Concierge
I bought one of these and put it in the Mudroom.This works by body heat, NOT motion.No more looking for a light switch.When you walk in the room the light comes on.It isn’t tripped when someone comes up to the door from the outside (notice that the door has a window)… it can’t see the IR heat of the person so the light does not come on, but open the door and as soon as the sensor sees YOU,,, bang,,, it’s on.I set this one to stay on for two minutes. This way you can come and go and the light doesn’t switch on and off.It worked so well,I bought another and put it in the pantry room because my wife was tired having to always go back and turn OFF the light..Now, just walk into the pantry room and bang the light is on.I set this one to hold for 20 seconds so it’s not on for a long time.This is a great device but it will take some advanced electrical skills.If you don’t know electricity, find someone to do it for you,you’re messing with your life if you don’t know exactly what your doing.

I was going to purchase a replacement of my motion detector light switch using the same brand. I found this product by J. Lumi for less than half the cost and with better reviews. I will purchase again if necessary.As a follow up, the J. Lumi replacement worked fine for about 7 months and then became overly sensitive, causing the light circuit to stay “ON”. I opened the adjustment area and reset to max time “ON”. This seemed to resolve my immediate issue, however, I purchased a couple of spares just in case. Still more reasonable than the original motion detector that only lasted about 3 months.

Better than feeling around for a switch in the dark.
I installed this in my 12×16 foot shed which has 3 entrances. I was going to install 3-way switches at all of the doors but decided to try this first and I’m glad I did. After a little tuning for sensitivity this works like magic. The instant any of the doors open the light comes on and then automatically shut off after 5 minutes of no motion. Super handy when I have an arm full of tools.So far it works flawlessly.
