    Very simple and effective.
This is a very basic motion detector but affective enough for my project. It works great so far and has the right amount of sensitivity for my needs.I have it mounted in a door way so I can’t attest to the range as I don’t have enough room to test its max range where it is mounted. The timer has a variable adjustment from 1-10 minutes and mine seems to be fairly accurate within reason. All in all it does what it says it does, and I recommend it for basic projects and indoor applications. it doesn’t seem to have much or any weather protection so just be aware of that if you intend on using it in the elements.

Silently Triggers LED Strip, Then Turns Off Automatically
This motion sensor works great for my application — automated night lights in several places around the house.I attached about a foot of LED strip to the underside of, for instance, a side table in our entry, then positioned this sensor such that as I came down the hall, the floor becomes illuminated. Much better than tiny plug-in nightlights. The LEDs stay on for about a minute (the time is adjustable from 1-10 minutes) then shut off.The on/off function is completely silent — no clicking relay. This model is the hardwire style, handy when you’re dealing with LED short ends that don’t have plugs. Be aware the green wiring terminal pulls out of the sensor body. This makes it easier to wire up the circuit. Pulling the green plug/terminal also reveals the polarity markings on the sensor.(Other models are available with coax plugs that insert between the power supply and a plug-equipped LED strip.)One very useful location is in the laundry room. I attached LED strips to the underside of the upper cabinets and used a motion sensor like this to turn the LEDs on as we enter the dark room from the garage. Very handy.Did the same in the kitchen where the coffeemaker is. Now as we approach the cabinet that holds the filters, creamer and sugar, the interior of the cabinet and the counter below lights up.

    Sensor was DOA
Unfortunately for me this one was DOA. Looked like a nice product. Had voltage, but sensor did not function at all. I missed the return window by one day because I had to install and test it to find out it didn’t work. I’ve begun to move away from Amazon for these single open parts. No quality control. You never know what your going to get. Better just to buy from a store or direct from supplier and sometimes cheaper than Amazon.

Figured out how to turn it off
I connected this to a ribbon of under cabinet LED lights. When I initially installed this, I had the same problem as other reviewers who reported that it turned on but never turned off. I had the same problem. I returned it and tried a new one but had the same issue.I decided to reverse the wires and put the wires I had in the + terminal into the – and visa versa. This time it worked. I thought I had it wired right because it turned on but apparently (as noted by other reviewers) I had the wires reversed. So problem solved. It’s only been 2 days so I can’t speak to how long it will last but at least the motion sensor part is working correctly.

    Works for LED
I’m running LED light strips from this motion sensor.PositivesIt does sense motion and will pass through enough current for the LED light strips.-Negatives1. Its angle of detection is not that great. You almost have to be in front of it before it will sense your there.2. The time adjustment screw is made of soft plastic. It’s quite hard to turn and will deform if you’re not using the correct type of Philips screw driver.3. Its not weather resistant. Mine has gathered moister inside the sensor. With moisture in the sensor, it still functions but you almost have to touch the sensor before it will activate.

Easy to use . Works well
Easy to use. For 24v LED for staircase. Would be nice if a cover plate was available.

    Work perfectly
Used to activate 12v LED lights mounted under bookshelves. I easily removed the cover and spray-painted it to match the wall. It’s sensitivity is perfect. I determined I can reduce it’s sensitivity by partially covering the sensor window from inside if needed.

Works well, wish it included some screws for narrow slots or make the slots wider.

Just cut the paired wire to a the light, found the negative with a volt meter, wired the live end to the switch input and the light pigtail to the output. Good sensitivity and range
